EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES 2003

PARIS CONSERTAVORY MASTERCLASSES
November 8-9, 2003
Maestro Masur will lead orchestral masterclasses at the Paris Conservatory November 8 and 9 from 11:00AM-2:00PM and 3:30-6:30PM. On the 8th the program will be: Beethoven: Egmont Overture; Mendelssohn: Ruy Blas Overture; Schumann: Genoveva Overture. On the 9th: Brahms: Symphony No. 4.

SCHLESWIG HOLSTEIN MUSIK FESTIVAL
August 25-Spetember 1, 2003
Kurt Masur will lead the youth orchestra of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival in four concerts at the end of August. The youth orchestra will perform in Hamburg on the 25th, Greifswald on the 30th, Berlin on the 31st, and Leipzig on September 1st.

SAO PAOLO, BRAZIL
July 28-August 3, 2003
Maestro Masur will visit Brazil, leading masterclasses and conducting the orchestras of Sao Paolo and Rio de Janeiro. The masterclasses, held in Sao Paolo, will take place on July 29th and 30th, and August 1st. The program covered will be Beethoven: Egmont Overture; Shostakovich: Symphony No. 1 and Strauss: Don Juan.

IN RESIDENCE AT TANGLEWOOD
July 1-13, 2003
During this time Maestro Masur will lead conducting masterclasses, will work with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, and will also conduct performances of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
